Harvtec Routine Site Inspection

Harvtec Routine Site Inspection gives your business regular engineering and compliance attention without needing to add a full-time manager. We visit premises across Cornwall at an agreed interval, review the defined equipment and records, and leave findings and follow-up actions for your team.

Actions to follow Priorities, owners and the next review

What Harvtec covers

A regular look at the site, with someone following up.

The inspection is planned around your operations, risks and existing competent-person arrangements. We agree what is observed, what is functionally checked and what needs a separate assessment before the first visit.

Plant and equipment condition

Review the agreed equipment and reported problems with the responsible person, noting visible defects and maintenance needs.

  • Electrical and machinery condition
  • Guards and emergency stops within the agreed inspection scope
  • Obvious plant defects, wear and recurring problems

LEV and maintenance follow-up

Review agreed extraction-system condition and maintenance actions, including defects recorded by operators or an LEV examiner.

  • LEV condition and logbook entries
  • Outstanding remedials and maintenance tasks
  • Separate specialist examination dates and actions

Inspection and operational records

Check whether the records needed for the agreed scope are available and identify missing, overdue or unresolved items.

  • Asset registers and inspection history
  • Calibration and lifting-equipment examination records
  • Contractor information and compliance actions

A practical action record

Leave a clear record of the areas reviewed, findings and limitations, with priorities and responsibility agreed with your manager.

  • Observed condition and supporting evidence
  • Action owners, target dates and referral needs
  • Progress reviewed at the next agreed point

Magrathea or your existing system

Where agreed, maintain assets, inspection findings, work orders and evidence in Magrathea. Your team can retain its existing records if that is the better fit.

How the work moves

Scope the visit. Record the findings. Review the actions.

Define the inspection programme

Agree the areas, assets, records, competence, access and visit interval. Set out exclusions and how urgent concerns will be communicated.

Visit and discuss the findings

Inspect within the agreed scope, speak with the responsible person and record what was checked and what could not be assessed.

Follow through between visits

Agree priorities and owners. Repairs, specialist referrals or additional investigation are separately scoped; the next review checks progress on outstanding actions.

Questions

Useful answers before you enquire

How often should Harvtec attend?

Monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or another interval can be agreed. The decision follows the site, equipment, risks, manufacturer information and work needed; these commercial visit options are not universal statutory intervals.

Is this an EICR, LEV examination or lifting-equipment examination?

No. A general site visit does not replace those separately scoped inspections or statutory examinations. It can review the records, identify overdue actions and help coordinate the appropriate competent people.

Do checks of guards or emergency stops certify a machine as safe?

No. The agreed inspection records what was checked and its limitations. Safety-function assessment, validation, machine modification and specialist examination require their own defined scope and competence.

Who remains responsible for the site?

Your business retains its legal duties and management decisions. Harvtec provides the agreed inspection, records and follow-up support alongside your managers and day-to-day checks.
