The customer wanted a Zappi chargepoint at their apartment building in Carbis Bay but had struggled to find someone willing to take on the installation. Making it possible meant working through the shared-site arrangements as well as finding a suitable way to mount the charger.

Harvtec worked with the customer, other residents and the maintenance company responsible for the building to agree how the installation could go ahead. We designed and built a bespoke pedestal for the location, then installed the Zappi on it. The result was an installation shaped around the customer’s parking space and the people who shared the site.

A mounting solution made for the site

This Zappi installation needed a mounting arrangement to suit the existing fence and panels. Harvtec designed a bespoke stainless steel backplate so the chargepoint could be fitted in the chosen position.

We worked with the customer and neighbours to arrange access and carry out the installation. The finished backplate gave the charger a dedicated mounting surface, bringing our bespoke design and electrical installation work together in one job.

Harvtec installed this Zappi chargepoint on a timber fence in a private parking space. This was a straightforward fence-mounted installation, placing the charger alongside the customer’s parking position.

Can you help with EV charging at an apartment building?

Yes, we can help assess the practical arrangements. In the Carbis Bay installation shown on this page, we worked with the customer, other residents and the building’s maintenance company, and designed and built a bespoke pedestal. Each site needs its own assessment of parking, access, permissions and the electrical installation before work is agreed.

Can you make a bespoke charger mount?

We can discuss a mount designed for the location. The installations above include a Harvtec-designed and built pedestal and a bespoke stainless steel backplate. The fixing position, supporting structure and charger requirements need to be assessed for each job.

Can you quote before visiting?

Initial information helps us assess the work, but photographs alone may not establish supply suitability or the full cable route. We confirm whether a survey is needed before finalising the scope and price.

Can you install a charger I have already bought?

Send the make, model and installation information first. We need to check suitability and agree responsibility for supply, warranty and commissioning before accepting the installation.

Do you guarantee a particular charging speed or grant?

No. Charging performance depends on the vehicle, equipment and available supply. Any grant eligibility or scheme requirement must be checked separately; the quotation does not assume funding.

What if I need an existing chargepoint checked?

Tell us the equipment, symptoms and any records. Installation work and the inspection or investigation of an existing chargepoint are different scopes; we will help identify the appropriate route.
